It is not by chance that God created days for us to rest and rejuvenate our bodies and souls. He ordained the day of Sabbath as a special time apart from work or other activities where we can spend some quality time with Him without any distractions like TV, phone conversations, reading, etc.

However, this period seems to be the only spare time some women have to do the laundry and some other house chores.

This may sound like an excuse to you, but this is the truth.

How can we make time for God when there are so many other things vying for our attention?

1. check what your priority is

Well first off let us be realistic about what the priorities in our lives should be

We need to understand that if it is a choice between spending some quality time with God or doing the laundry, then quality time with God should always be our top priority.

No matter how much you love your house and the clothes in it, they will not last forever so spending some special moments with Him is more important for eternity than a few hours here and there to do chores!

2. Re-evaluate how you are spending your time

Sometimes we are not really busy, it’s just poor time management that has us feeling too stressed. We may not be intentionally slacking off, but we are just not prioritizing what is important and this can have a really negative impact on our overall happiness!

What you really need to do in this situation is to reevaluate how you are spending your time. Are you spending time with your family or friends? Doing activities that are meaningful to you and helpful in making the world a better place, such as volunteering at church?

Do you spend so much time on activities that aren’t important, like spending too much time on social media? You may have too many commitments.

If this is the case, you need to take a serious look at your commitments and decide which ones are worth keeping.

The key is to allow God’s power and presence in your life, which will take up more of your time if you let it!

It may be difficult at first but the benefits are worth it. You’ll find yourself feeling less stressed, peaceful, and happy with who you have become because of your constant meditation on God

3. Adopt a new routine

After you have filtered out the list of things that you shouldn’t spend ample time on, I just feel that this might be the best time to re-strategize, You can fix a time to talk to God in your daily routine.

An hour or thirty minutes daily, adopt this as your new normal, and watch yourself Grow in God.

The truth is God is within us, we can always find a way to communicate with him amidst our busy schedule. You can communicate with him in your thoughts, via meditation, and a lot more.

Some people prefer to talk to God in the early hours of the morning, they feel they can focus more, while some people prefer to spend time with God in the afternoon or evening.

Once you have a new routine set, it will be easier for you to find time with God. You may experiment and decide what’s best for yourself.

I don’t know about you but my faith has grown tremendously since I started spending more time in prayer and worshiping God every day.

Your faith too can grow if you are intentional about it.

4. Surround yourself with Godly friends

Having friends that are Godly has a way of making you want to spend more time with them. They invite you over for dinner or lunch, talk about spiritual things, and help you become a better person

It’s important that your friends are not just religious but godly too. People who go through the motions but do not have an intimate relationship with God cannot offer much in terms of support

God wants to be a major priority in your life, surrounding yourself with religious people or ungodly friends will make the journey burdensome for you.

Because the more you strive to create or make time for God, the further they drive you from achieving that goal because they don’t see the need for that.

But Godly friends have Godly influence on you. They suggest Christian books, podcasts, and bible studies you can read to have a better relationship with God.

if you need Christian friends, here is a better way to find them

5. make spending time with God a non-negotiable practice

The truth is you will always get busy with your career, house chores, the kids, and a whole lot of things, The best way to go about spending ample time with God is to set a time to do it.

The most important thing is that you shouldn’t wait until your schedule slows down, but rather develop the habit of spending time with God amidst your busy schedule.

Your spending time with God should be something that can never be negotiated.

6. Be accountable to someone

While I started my routine of talking to God daily, I told a couple of friends about it. Often they had called to check up on me to be sure I had met up with my daily talk with God.

You too can put this strategy in place, find a friend or a group that is committed to seeking the mind of God in prayer and bible study.

You will want to be accountable. Ask your friend for more accountability than you are currently giving yourself.

Being in the fellowship of believers who also like talking to God, is a great way not only to grow spiritually but also to develop into someone better.

It doesn’t matter where on earth they live or what their religious affiliations happen to be, we are all one body in Christ.

The more time you spend with God as a group, the better it’s going to be for everyone involved.

It’s just like any other club or organization people get together often and do something they enjoy doing together, and that thing becomes much more fulfilling than when they go it alone. So the more time you spend with God as a group, the better it’s going to be for everyone involved.

7. Add meditation to your to do list

Meditation is another strategy you should add to your to-do list, It is an act of looking within, where God dwells, and communicating effectively with him.

Meditation makes the reality of oneness with God possible, You are joined with him in one spirit via meditation.

To make time for God, include meditation as a part of your winning strategy. It can be 5 to 10 minutes of your time daily, and it will transform not only your relationship with him but also the quality of your time spent with him.
