The first time someone shared his goals with me, I was taking off guard, simply because as at the time, I was literally an undisciplined and disorganized kid with little to no idea about what goal setting is.
Here I am few years down the line, talking to you about Christian relationship goals, why it is needful, and why we should set them.
A lot of people set up “relationship goals” and other kind of goals without fully actualizing or executing them, this could be a result of indiscipline, inconsistencies, and going overboard.
Going overboard with your relationship goals or any other goals is to put down goals that you know can’t be achieved within a specific time frame.

ever seen young adults in purposeless relationships? I have seen a lot of them.
when asked the reasons for being in a relationship, they find it difficult to answer.
One basic reason why you should start a relationship is because you are ready to be married.
There is no point going into a baseless relationship. Some people date to kill time.why would you trivialise someone else’s emotion because you don’t want to be lonely.
Before entering a relationship. purpose discovery should be a priority, there is no point going into a relationship, only to discover later that your purposes in God arent related.
So one of the goals that makes things a lot easier is if you have discovered what your purpose in God is.
One way to do this, is to be persistent in asking God about it till you get a reply.
Another thing to also consider before going into a Godly relationship is to ascertain if your crush has discovered his purpose. It is solely on this ground that you both will decide if you should start the relationship or not.

2. Financial goals
Money is a very important factor in relationships.
Setting financial goal can be a stepping stone to getting the life you want as a couple.
This is because you get to stick to a monthly budget, tackle some project.
Setting financial goals in your love relationship makes you accountable for every penny spent.
Couples should set a time monthly where they would discuss how far they have gone with the actualization of their goals financially, they should talk about the challenges they encountered, and the lessons learnt.
Doing this allows both parties have an overview of their expenditure.

Often, we get so busy with life to the point that we forget the needs of our partners.

Look out for ways to spice up your sex life, try out new styles. Take each other out on a date, do not forget to complement each other.
Most importantly, ask your partner how they want to be loved, their response will give you a clue as to what to hit.

As Christians, aligning your body and soul to what is in your Spirit man should be your topmost priority this year.
Christian couples should Invest in prayers, word study, and meditation.
Couples should fix a time where they will pray, study, and meditate together.

5. Health goals
This is the most neglected aspect of goal setting, people put up beautiful things they want to do with their health, sticking to it is where we fail woefully.
As Christian couples, we should be our partners greatest support system.
They shouldn’t have to look else where for support.
Basically, keeping fit is everyone’s business. Encourage your partner to hit the gym by following them there, You guys should create an healthy eating habit, avoid eating junks.
6. Professional goals
In as much as couples are trying to improve on yourself in other areas, it is also important to improve on yourself professionally.
Encourage your partner to go for that degree, to attend an online course, just be sure to support them in being a better version of themselves in every areas of their lives.
7. Personal development goals
How far and how well do you want to grow this year? In a bid to hit our Christian relationship goals and target, we shouldn’t forget the area of personal development.
Now, personal development is something couples have to do individually.
This is where we have to individually make a list of some of the areas we want growth as an individual.
Your personal development plan might be that you want to get rid of a bad behaviour, or that you want to fine tune a character or nature you already have.
Personal development is an intentional process, if you want to get rid of a bad habit, invest in resources that will make it a reality.
Read books, pray more, study more, and meditate more.
Finally, couple should include personal development in their love goals. It is also important that we work on ourselves collectively and individually.
